We Choose the Seeds
Today, most of our fruits and vegetables are contaminated with chemicals, pesticides and fungicides. In addition to that, there are genetic manipulations, radiation, and depleted soil. By contaminating the plants, we have also contaminated the seeds. Choosing the right seeds—seeds free from all chemicals and artificial “enhancements”—is a critical part of the overall process. Some of our seeds originate all the way back to colonial times.
The process is watched and carefully inspected. Seedlings are transplanted to fertile soil; weed control is closely monitored; and the plants are meticulously cultivated till they are ready for the harvest.
When Green is Bad
Not all harvesting methods are created equal. A substandard method known as “green harvesting,” has become very common. During green harvesting, fruits and vegetables are picked while they are far from ripe, long before they have fully extracted and utilized the nutrients and minerals from the soil and sun. (The last 72 hours, in fact, is when all the nutrients are at a maximum. Green harvesting prevents this from happening.) Fertilizers used to make the produce grow faster is another way of depleting nutritional benefits. Produce is often brought to maturity by gassing it with nitrous oxide, or simply letting it “ripen” on the store shelf. The vitamins, antioxidants, and natural sugars simply are not there. The products may then be enhanced with additives and sugar, in a feeble attempt to make up for this loss. Needless to say, this is far from the real thing.

All the vegetation Dr. Tucker specifies is hand-picked—no machines are used. The time involved to properly cultivate a plant or tree is also honored. One example is the Hawthorn Berry: In order to get the maximum nutrients and properties from a hawthorn berry, the tree should be growing for 8-10 years before harvesting. The bush will produce berries as soon as the first year, but they will not have the same, rich benefits as berries from a fully mature tree. The berries from a mature tree will be 12-20 times more potent. It will also have additional actives that don’t even exist in immature fruit. Machine-picked berries often have things such as stems and leaves due to the indiscriminate picking by the combines. With the hand-picked method, you get only the berries—and the best berries at that.

Field harvesting is the process of gathering vegetation, herbs and produce from the field. When it comes to harvesting, everything that grows has its own specific procedure and requirements. One example is aloe vera. There are many aloe vera products on the market. Most of these are worthless, and here’s why: In order to extract the maximum health benefits from aloe vera, it must be harvested and preserved in a very exact way. Mature plants (They should be picked only after they have grown __ years.) should have only the larger leaves from the lower part of the plant removed. After that, they must be taken to the field-harvesting plant to stabilize aloe’s potent immune system-enhancing properties. (There is only a window of 12 minutes in which to do this; otherwise most of its active elements are lost.) Most manufacturers do not do this; hence, most aloe vera is not very beneficial at all. Some can even be harmful if not properly prepared due to certain bacterias present on the leaves.
From Raw Material to Real Product
After harvesting, these raw materials, the plants the fruits, and the herbs are sent to a manufacturing facility to be encapsulated. They are tested for bacteria and other contaminants, such as fungus. Each item is then ensured to be the right plant, and not an imposter. It’s continues through a sterilization process where it’s put into capsules. There are no fillers or lubricating agents, like stearic acid. (“motor oil”) Nor are there any chemical additives, such as the omnipresent citric acid. This is why Dr. Tucker’s nutraceuticals are so effective - they’re the purest, the most potent and, quite simply, the best.
